Ahead in wet processing<\/h3>

Walter Zwicklhuber: \u201cThe deburring rollers from boeck show very good performance \u2013 especially in wet processing. That was particularly important to us. Compared to other tools, we achieve higher material removal rates and longer tool life. In addition, they offer a very good price-performance ratio.\u201d This performance is enabled by a novel bristle material, which is laser-cut on a specially developed machine by boeck. Thanks to the special cuts of the lamellae, the edges are sealed so that no water can penetrate into the lamellae. In addition, the high density of the abrasive fabric and the complete wear of the lamellae down to the core diameter also contribute to the long service life of the tools.<\/p>

Due to the non-contact laser cutting process, the individual lamellae also do not lose any abrasive grains from the abrasive fabric, as can happen with punching, for example. Together with the arrangement of the abrasive fabric lamellae in the grinding or deburring direction, this results in stronger edge rounding. Another quality feature: the deburring rollers are manufactured in one piece without segmentation, making them very stable. The balancing grade G 6.3 ensures smooth running.<\/p>

GEWA uses deburring rollers with a diameter of 250 mm, a width of 260 mm, and a mounting bore specifically designed for use on WEBER deburring machines. Depending on the workpiece and the desired deburring and edge-rounding result, boeck offers different abrasive fabric types in its portfolio: the \u201cBrown Edition\u201d is a universal solution for all sheet metal types. The \u201cGrey Edition\u201d is suitable for rounding edges on components made of aluminum and plastic. The \u201cPurple Edition\u201d provides very high material removal rates and strong edge rounding.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

The final touch<\/h3>
For surface finishing, GEWA removes final scratches using abrasive fleece belts from boeck. \u201cWe are also very satisfied with the consulting and the tools in this process step. Depending on the material and the desired result, a wide variety of surface finishes are possible thanks to different abrasive fleece belts,\u201d says Tobias Panhuber. Like the abrasive belts, boeck also stocks large quantities of abrasive fleece belts for other grinding and deburring machines and can therefore respond quickly to orders.<\/div>
